The Nikon d7500 is relatively new on the market, which is why we didn’t want to take the opportunity to try to make a comparison with this camera. So it is very interesting what has happened in terms of technology during this time and what you can or will expect from the two Nikon cameras.

The Nikon d7200 can convince with a very good 24 megapixels. But the newer d7500 only has 20 MP. A small but subtle difference that should be noted.
The price of the two cameras is of course not the same either. The older d7200 costs a little less than the newer d7500. However, this should only serve as a side note. You have to decide for yourself how much money you want to spend on a DSLR camera in the end.

In the Nikon d7500, however, a very high quality sensor was installed, which should also ensure a very good image quality. In comparison Nikon d7500 vs. Nikon d7200 image quality should be similar.

Light intensity

Nikon d7200 vs. d7500The individual ISO values of the Nikon d7500 are also far above average and thus trump the Nikon d7200, which can show 1333 ISO in terms of performance in low light and 25,600 ISO or 102,400 ISO in general light sensitivity. Of course, these values are also very good, but they have also been refined a bit and the Nikon d7500 has been equipped with more ISO.

The auto focus has also been revised. But here too we would like to point out that in our comparison Nikon d7500 vs. Nikon d7200 already two very good models on the market can be compared. Either way, you are on the safe side – it doesn’t matter which of the two models you ultimately choose.

the look

In terms of external appearance, however, not much has changed – the size, depth and weight of the d7500 and the d7200 are relatively the same. Nothing was changed here because this design was already convincing and why change something that sells well? Nevertheless, when you lift it, you notice that the battery itself has become a bit lighter and is no longer as big and cumbersome as was the case with the Nikon d7500.

The screen itself should of course not be forgotten either. In our comparison Nikon d7200 vs. Nikon d7500 found that the d7200 does not yet have a touchscreen or that the screen cannot be folded out either. But this is the case with the d7500. Both a fold-out screen and a touchscreen have been integrated. A live view, on the other hand, is guaranteed for both Nikon models.
