Nikon and Canon are very well-known manufacturers in the area of SLR cameras. You have certainly already held a product from these manufacturers in your hands or at least heard of their names. That’s why we thought we’d compare two different products from these manufacturers and see whether there really were such big differences or not.

The Canon 6d was launched two years before the Nikon d750. Of course, a lot can happen in terms of technology during this time. For this reason it happened that the Nikon d750 is a bit higher in price than the Canon 6d. But this is only a very small difference and so it is not directly of great importance.

the sensor in comparison

Nikon d750 vs Canon 6dBut things get interesting in the sensor category. The Canon 6d can convince with 20 megapixels, whereas the Nikon d750 already has 24.3 MP. A small but relevant difference. The light sensitivity or the light sensitivity (boost) is also important to us in our comparison Nikon d750 vs. Canon 6d noticed. So with the 6d you get 25,600 ISO or 102,400 ISO. With the d750 it is 12,800 ISO and 51,200 ISO. This difference is then a bit more significant, as you have probably already noticed yourself. On the other hand, you will find sensor cleaning on both the Canon camera and the Nikon product.

Of course, the screen on a camera should not be forgotten. This is very important for the photographer. LCD was chosen for both models and the size of 7.6 cm and 8.1 cm is within the normal range. Whereas the Canon 6d can “only” show a resolution of 1040k points, the Nikon d750 already gives you 1229k points. A quite significant difference that should be considered before buying.

Both models do not yet have a touchscreen, but you can fold out the screen on the Nikon d750. Unfortunately, this is not the case with the Canon 6d. But you can enjoy a live view of both objects.

You can find phase detection on both the Canon 6d and the Nikon d750. But it is the focus points that make the difference here. The Canon 6d has only 11 focus points, while the Nikon d750 has 51 focus points. The higher the points, the better for the photo.

the battery

At this point we would also like to take a look at the service life of the battery. Here you are given the number of photos you can take before the camera has to be connected or charged. With the Canon 6d you can take up to 980 pictures – a very good result. But with the Nikon d750 you can even take up to 1230 pictures.

In terms of image quality, low-light performance, and color depth and dynamic range, there are again very little, if any, differences.
But the d750 supports many more formats than the 6d does.
